淡輪山荘の収蔵品整理は進行中。
調度類はリストアップし、改修に向けて倉庫に一旦収納したのだが、目下の問題は莫大な数の座布団。品質高級。保存状態良好。
さすが大正の迎賓館的別荘だけあって、座布団にも贅が尽くされている。
が、イス生活が定着した現代において正座習慣は無く、まず出来ない。座布団の出番はほぼ皆無。頭を悩ます今日この頃。これらの座布団をどう活用するか？ 総数115枚にのぼります。
The sorting of the collection at Tannowa Sanso is progressing.
Among them, the furnishings have been listed and temporarily stored in a warehouse nearby for the renovation, but the immnent issue is the enormous numbers of cushions. All are of high qualities e.g. covered with silk, quality cotton etc. and in good condition.
As you can imagine that the villa being ussed as a guesthouse in Taisho era, the cushions are luxurious as well compatible to the house itself.
Contrary, as the life in Japan has been so much wetsernized over the 100 years after the era, the habit of sitting upright on the floor is so infrequent, it is almost physically impossible for the todays’ Japanese. There is almost no use for the cushions. It’s a white elephant of today.Give me a hint as to utilizeing them in todays life. Numbers are totaling 115.
