The collection of Noh books at Tannowa Sanso house is incredible. It truly reflects the true character of the cultural figure Takenaka Gensuke.
Takenaka Gensuke, who built this superb Tannowa Sanso guest house, was a typical example of a successful prewar businessman. He loved culture, supported artists, and was himself an artist, callligrapher and Noh text chanter.
The collection of Noh books clearly shows this. The many Noh books housed in paulownia wood boxes are delicately preserved that they are worthy of the exquisit Taisho Guest House.
