大正迎賓館と言わせるだけの多くの美術品が収蔵される淡輪山荘。
Tanowa Sanso, 100-year-old geust house is full of treasuries
100年古民家 淡輪山荘には、江戸時代から昭和にかけて活躍したアーティストや職人たちの、多くの秀逸な美術品・工芸品が収蔵されています。あまたのジャンルの中、木彫置物ひとつをとっても、それらは全て精緻に制作された一級美術品。まさに大正迎賓館の面目躍如といったところ。
以前の淡輪山荘の持ち主、和歌山の富豪 竹中源助氏は、茶道や書画をよくたしなんだ数寄者。文化の何たるかを知り尽くしていた人と言えます。多くの客人をこの大正迎賓館 淡輪山荘に招き、自身の「ご自慢アート」の数々を披露したことでしょう。収蔵品一つ一つにもそんな歴史を感じさせられる100年名家です。
これらは現在、家から取り出され、リノベーション工事の間、安全な状態で保管されています。
Tanowa Sanso holds inuumerable excellent works of art and crafts by artists and craftsmen who were active from the Edo period to the Showa period. Among the many genres, even a single wooden carving is a first-class work of art that is exquisitely created each era. This is truly the pride of the Taisho Guest House.
Then owner of Tanowa Sanso, Wakayama's wealthy Takenaka Gensuke, was a connoisseur who enjoyed the tea ceremony, calligraphy and painting. One can labe him a master of culture as you observe his collectiions from scrolls, paintings, to frmaes and ceramic balls. He must had invited many guests to this Guest House, and shown off his many "pride art pieces." They are now removed from the house and kept it in safe conditions during the renovation.
